Iloilo Philippines Stake Cebu temple trip

Last Dec 26 to 30, 2010, the Iloilo youth Stake had a trip to Cebu Philippines temple. We rode a boat at around 6pm. There were about 150 saints inside the boat. the Antique Philippines district of about 50 youth and adults were also in that boat ride going the temple. Around 1 am the following day, our boat stopped in the middle of the sea. there was an engine trouble. My husband woke me up and told me that we weren't moving anymore. So we decided to pray for safety and that the engine will be fix soon because we were in the middle of the ocean and the sea was so rough , we ca feel the waves smashing through our boat. At around 3 am, we heard the engine again and we were so happy that we finally was able to move again. So we reached Cebu late . we should have been there at around 7am but because of that engine trouble we arrived around 11 am the following day! We were thankful that we made it to the temple safe!

We stayed at the beautiful patron house. the patron house is so comfortable just like a hotel. It has ac, hot water, canteen, laundry and pressing area, lounge area, internet, tv and best of all clean and the feeling is just so different ! It's heaven like.
The temple area has the stake center, mission home, mission office, pbo, basketball court, and the patron house. Staying there was a refuge from the cares of the world. manny and were able to attend temple sessions and manny did some ordinances for his dead ancestors.

My daughter Esther Ruth was so excited to do baptism for the dead. this is her first temple trip doing baptism by proxy. For Ephraim, this is his 4th times. He did his 1st, 2nd and 3rd in manila Philippines Temple. This is also the first batch of temple youth goers attending Cebu since it was opened only last June.

Esther ruth had spiritual experience doing her first Baptism for the dead. she enjyed it and felt the spirit. They also had fun for 3 nights with the youth of other stakes , from Davao, Cebu and Antique. They had devotional, home evenings and dance socials. Seeing them mingle each other with the same faith , we felt that they are in good hands!
My family went to SM mall Cebu during the first day. We enjoyed roaming around. We bought some items and had our dinner
